What PouchPal is

PouchPal is a community-reported map of which stores carry which nicotine pouch flavors. There are no accounts and no login. You can search and contribute without telling us who you are.

What we collect

When you search, we record what you searched for (location, radius, brand, flavor, strength), how many stores matched, and when. Your location is rounded to roughly 100 meters before it is stored. When you add a store, update stock, or report a listing, we record that contribution and the time.

We also keep a random session token in your browser's session storage so we can tell that a search and the stock update that follows came from the same visit. It disappears when you close the tab. It is not linked to you.

What we do not collect

No name, email, phone number, or account. No cookies. No third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, and the geocoder that turns a zip code into a point on the map runs on our server, so the geocoding service never sees your browser.

About your IP address

To slow down spam, each request is tagged with a daily-rotating, non-reversible token derived from your IP address and a secret. The token cannot be turned back into your IP address, changes every day, and is used only for rate limiting and spam analysis. We do not store raw IP addresses.

How the data is used

Contributions are shown publicly so other people can find stores. Search and contribution data may be aggregated (for example, "how often was this flavor searched in this city") and shared with brands, distributors, or stores to help them stock what people actually want. Aggregates never include anything that identifies a person.

Age

PouchPal is for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
